DroneCRM for real estate drone photographers

Listing work is lots of small jobs, quick turnarounds and agents who book again next week. Here's how DroneCRM handles the office side of it.

Price by the listing

Set your listing price once on the rate card, with a minimum if you want one, and add the extras you sell: video, twilight shots, a 360° tour. Travel goes on by the mile. For the agent who calls at 4 pm needing photos tomorrow, you set your own short-notice and rush surcharges as percentages, and they're added to the quote for you.

The agent gets a quote they can sign and put a deposit on from their phone. Once they sign, it's a job on your calendar with nothing retyped.

Let agents book online

Agents don't want to trade three emails to book a shoot. DroneCRM gives you an order page where they pick services, drop a pin on the listing, pick a day and see the price from your rate card before they send it. You can put it on your own website in your colours and font, and Match my website looks at your site and suggests a look to start from.

Orders arrive as drafted quotes. You check each one before it goes out, unless you've told DroneCRM that order quotes can go on their own. Agents who've booked before can order again for the same address from their client page, with their details already filled in.

Twilight shoots and wind

Twilight is where listing work gets weather-sensitive. Each booking shows the forecast for that address at that hour: wind at your flight altitude against the limit you set, rain, visibility, and when the sun sets. Any part of a flight in civil twilight gets a note about lighting, and any part after dark gets a warning about anti-collision lighting.

If the evening turns gusty, you hear about it by email and a notification on your phone. On Pro and Fleet, Tower suggests the next calm evening when you're free and drafts the note to the agent, like the one here. Whether to fly is always your call.

A draft for you to send or change. Dana, Lakeshore Realty, Marcus and the address are made up.

Fast turnaround without the chasing

On the day, your phone has the address, the agent's contact, the gate or lockbox code, your shot list and your preflight checklist. Flight time is logged to the job as you go. Upload photos to the job from your phone or back at the desk, then share the finished set on the agent's client page.

The invoice is built from the quote. Agents pay by card or bank transfer into your own Stripe account, and reminders go out on the schedule you pick, so a slow-paying brokerage hears from you without you writing the email each time.

Agents who book again

Each agent or brokerage is a client with one page: their listings as sites, every job, quote and invoice, and their emails filed under the right job, whether you use Gmail, Outlook or another provider. When an agent asks whether you shot a house on their street last spring, the search box has the answer.

Already keep your agents in a spreadsheet or QuickBooks? Import them, and export to CSV whenever you like.

Listing posts, only with permission

Finished listings make good posts. DroneCRM drafts a Facebook or Instagram post from a job's photos, and you edit it, schedule it or publish it to your business's own page. Listing photos are usually for the agent's marketing, so only post them with the agent's permission. Automatic posting is optional and only covers clients you've marked as having agreed. The copies DroneCRM shares and posts have the camera's location data removed.

Questions from listing photographers

Can agents book a shoot without calling me?
Yes. Share your order page link or put it on your website. Agents pick services and a day and see the price from your rate card. You check the drafted quote before it goes to them, unless you've set order quotes to go on their own.
Can I charge more for twilight or next-day shoots?
Yes. Add twilight shots as an extra on your rate card, and set short-notice and rush surcharges as percentages. DroneCRM adds them to the quote for you.
Does DroneCRM check airspace for listings?
Yes. Every booking is checked against controlled airspace and TFRs. If a listing needs LAANC, DroneCRM prepares the details and opens your LAANC app, and you file the request there. TFR alerts are an early warning, not a clearance.
Can I post listing photos to Instagram from DroneCRM?
Yes, to your business's Facebook Page and Instagram account, when you press Publish or schedule a post. Get the agent's permission first. Automatic posts only go out for clients you've marked as having agreed.
